Vicky Hanna was born at an early age. She is a native of Wisconsin and occasionally can be seen wearing her cheese-head cap. It is a great conflict in her enjoyment of football that Brett Favre is now with Minnesota. “Now I feel compelled to support the Broncos, Packers and the Vikings”, Vicky said.
Her husband Rod is a photographer, fine art printer and will be publishing his second book in a few months. His first book, “Season’s of Light” is available in local bookstores and at RodHanna.com.
Their daughter currently lives in San Francisco and is pursuing yet more education. She is a talented Interior Designer.
Vicky is an avid reader and collects books including an extensive library of antique books. Of books, “One of the most delightful treasures in Steamboat is the new Bud Werner Memorial Library. It is a community center and sees multi-generational use. The library also sponsors the Literary Sojourn.” Literary Sojourn is an annual gathering of authors and book lovers set in Steamboat. Each year, 500 readers from all over the country gather in Steamboat Springs to meet the creators of their favorite books and to celebrate, first and foremost, the joy and inspiration of books and reading.
Vicky is on the board of the newly formed, Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Colorado. This wonderful organization is the Positive Place for Kids and is extremely important to the community. Steamboat’s club is one of over 4300 clubs nation-wide. Boys and Girls Club gives kids a sense of belonging, competence, influence, and usefulness as they engage in programs to promote life-enhancing experiences.
Vicky has been a resident of Steamboat since 1974 and has been in real estate since 1983. Having enjoyed working with talented mentors early in her career she has gone on to now become a mentor to other brokers. In real estate her area of expertise extends from vacant land to all residential categories. Vicky and Pam Vanatta were the listing brokers for the final filing of the Sanctuary and it remains one of Vicky’s favorite areas.
She is a seasoned Broker with 26 years of experience but maintains a fresh viewpoint and embraces new concepts and technology. Of particular importance is a keen ability to negotiate and seek creative solutions. Combine that with Vicky’s famous sense of humor and you’ve found your Steamboat broker.
